Atlas Fallen

  • Atlas Fallen gets an action-packed combat overview trailer. We see what devastating tricks our heroes will have up their sleeves.
  • Our favorite upcoming sand-based RPG, Atlas Fallen, showed off its devastating combat. Developer Deck 13 and publishers Focus Home Interactive showed off 5 minutes of epic gameplay that demonstrates the game at its finest.
  • The gauntlet in Atlas Fallen is so powerful that it can manipulate the very sand itself. Changing the form of the sturdy dunes allows its user to create amazing weapons and unleash devastating attacks. While it might sound similar to Forspoken’s Cuff, it doesn’t talk. It’s the sole source of both the offensive and defensive capabilities.
  • Players can equip two weapons at a time which can be swapped on the fly. You can chain wondrous combo attacks by using them at different points in an attack chain.
  • Enemies in Atlas Fallen are also quite varied. They come in many shapes and sizes. Collectively known as “Wraiths”, these foes are all attuned to the sand god and have some connection to the sand itself.
  • Atlas Fallen is also leaning heavily into the RPG side of things when you look at the plethora of customization options. Looking at Armor first and foremost, players will have access to 5 Primary Stats: Recovery, Offense, Defense, Fortune, and Shatter.
  • Atlas Fallen releases on August 10, 2023, on current-gen consoles (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series) as well as PC via Steam.

  • Another thing the game will feature is five different Aspects that can be used for spell crafting and enhancement. Lesser and Greater enchanting runes will be one of the aspects: Life, Death, Space, Time, and Matter.

  • The turn-based title inspired by classic RPGs, Sea of Stars will be heading to PS Plus for both Playstation Extra and Playstation Premium come launch day. The game is set to release on August 29th. A demo is also now available on both Playstation 5 and Playstation 4.
  • A blog post announced the upcoming addition, along with details about the game’s overall “vision”. Sea of Stars has moved away from the typical tile-based movement found in pixel-styled RPGs. Instead, providing a “more seamless” world according to the level designer Philippe Dionne.
  • A lot of thought has gone into how players will traverse the scenery, which is present in a side-scroller 2D-esque design.

Remnant 2

  • The soulslike third person shooter with melee combat Remnant 2 has already almost doubled its concurrent players on Steam. Gunfire Games’ sequel the dark fantasy post-apocalyptic worlds have amassed roughly 83,000 players on Steam. This peak is almost twice the amount of players that played the original title.
  • The original Remnant From the Ashes reached a peak of 48,000 players in 2019. The sequel has definitely surpassed that in just a day. The second game in the series has been receiving some positive reviews over on Steam as well as now the number 2 top seller by revenue with Baldur’s Gate 3 in third place.
  • You can also expect many enigmas to unearth as the developers have said that even after playing for 400 hours you may not uncover everything in terms of its secrets.
  • Principal designer Ben Cureton has shared that “Remnant 2 has secrets within secrets within secrets”. Soulslike games tend to leave lore and story for the players to piece together.
  • However, Gunfire explains that the game still remains player-friendly when it comes to 100 percenting achievements. So for you completionists out there, don’t worry about snagging those trophies. If you’re looking to uncover absolutely everything the game has to offer, well you’ll have to work a little harder on that front. Even the internal developers themselves haven’t seen everything.
  • Remnant 2 is now available on PC, Xbox and Playstation. You can head to our wiki for the latest info on Remnant 2.

  • Having been slain in one world Axiom, the player has a last chance to finish the fight in the land of the dead, Umbral. Pieta has some distinct movesets, especially in phase 2. Revealing a pair of wings, raining down walls of swords and having a lot of sweeping moves. Players can use a mix of melee, magic as well as ranged abilities, which are seamlessly interwoven. You can map out additional magic or ranged skills on controller, .
  • Also shown is how co-op will work in Lords of the Fallen. To summon a player to join you, you will simply need to visit one of the rest points or vestige.

Playstation China Hero Project

  • Revealed this week Sony announced new Playstation China Hero Projects. First up we have The God Slayer.
  • The Action-RPG is by the same studio that developed My Time at Sandrock, Pathea Games. A few screenshots and art concepts were released showing a mix of ancient China with fantasy elements. One screenshot shows a massive dragon being fought but what we assume is the God Slayer wielding flame in hand.
  • There also seems to be some stealth elements in the mix, with some images showing character crouching in the grass to hide from an unbeknownst enemy. While it’s always exciting to see a new project in development, we are going to have quite a while for this one. The studio has its sights set on a 2027 release time frame which is about four years away.
  • Another project announced was the Action-RPG by TiGames The Winds Rising. The F.I.S.T. Forged in Shadow Torch developer revealed a rich world following a girl who leaves her peaceful village to go on grand adventures. She stumbles upon a lost monster cub which causes trouble for the whole kingdom. Divinity: Original Sin Sequel

  • With Baldur’s Gate 3’s launch fast approaching, many might be wondering what are Larian Studios’ plans after the imminent release. According to a recent interview with IGN, Larian boss Swen Vincke shares that they want to release another game for the Divinity: Original Sin series.
  • As for how soon after can we expect them to be jumping back into the world of Rivellon? Well, not until the team has had a well-earned rest. The roughly 400 developer team have been putting their “heart and souls” into getting Baldur’s Gate 3 into 1.0. A break will be vital to keep their creativity flowing. But this is good news because it means we’ll be seeing another Divinity: Orignal Sin title sometime down the line.
  • Larian’s main focus at the moment is the highly anticipated full release of Baldur’s Gate 3. Currently, in early access, players will start completely anew once version 1.0 launches on August 3rd. Boasting 17,000 endings when considering the number of outcome permeations this game is big, promising at least 75+ hours for a playthrough.
